Crafting these handles was an absolute joy. It provided us with a perfect opportunity to showcase our workshop's capability in producing mixed media projects. Much of the work is concealed within the handle as structural reinforcement. We incorporated a water jet-cut stainless steel spine, bolted to the brass, resulting in handles that are both incredibly sturdy and substantial. The London Plane is also reinforced with a birch ply spine.

One of our proudest achievements in executing these handles is the brass rivets that mechanically bolt everything together. They are meticulously sanded flush—a detail we specifically designed for this project.

There's no doubt these handles were a labor of love. Each handle took two days to sand, but when so much thought and effort is invested in a piece, these final touches are of utmost importance.
